Instant Old English

Catherine Ball’s Instant Old English is an extract she made from the englisc listserv back in the twentieth century. It’s linked by a lot of sites around the World Wide Web, but all the links are dead. I dug this out of the Wayback Machine and updated the HTML to current standards.

The Old Skipper’s Wordlist

This is a modern-to-old English dictionary, which is extraordinarily rare on the Web. It’s by Bill Schipper (hence the name). Another relic of the englisc listserv that’s the victim of a lot of dead links, even the formidable Labyrinth at Georgetown U.

Circolwyde Wordhord

Carl T. Berkhout collected a list of 90s computer terminology in Old English. All are informative; some are hilarious. Tip of the hat to u/Sambrocar.
